A tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Secunderabad. Viren Jain, a class six student, choked to death during lunch break at his school.
He had brought puris in his lunch box and was eating three at once when he choked.
Begumpet Inspector Ch Ramaiah stated that the boy was unable to breathe after the choking incident.
The school staff immediately rushed him to a nearby nursing home and then to a private hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival.
The body was sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered. Viren’s father, Gowthan Jain, told the police that the school informed him his son was having lunch when the incident happened.
